I have been a small business owner, with my husband, for over 30 years. I am now semi-retired and was looking for something else to do, a bit different from my hobbies of running, walking and exercising.

Both of my grown-up daughters are keen horsewomen (I have ridden occasionally in the past too) and through them I found the opportunity to become involved with this very worthwhile charity.

Past work as Chair of Governors in primary and secondary schools gave me invaluable experience and the team building skills needed to contribute effectively in a volunteer environment.

Hopefully I can help make a difference to all the lovely ponies out there that need us.
