A Gift in
your Will
“The wind of heaven is that which blows through a horse’s ears.”
It is clear that gifts left by people in their wills are very important to the continued good work of a charity. We therefore would like you to know, that should you decide to leave us a bequest, we will treat your gift with the highest level of care.
People choose to leave sums of money of anything from £1 up to several thousand pounds and sometimes much more. They also leave possessions like paintings and furniture and other items of value. Some will even leave their property to a worthy cause.
Whatever you decide to leave us, for the benefit of horses and ponies, we will be very grateful indeed and pledge to always use the proceeds judiciously.
Your legacy gift to Here4Horses will make sure that your generosity and kindness to horses, will be felt way beyond your lifetime.
Our comprehensive guide to leaving a ‘Gift in Your Will’ is now available. Please contact us for copy.

Why your gift matters?
A gift in your will helps us with some of our bigger expenses such as developing and maintaining our facilities, horse transportation and essential operations for our very poorly animals.
Perhaps more importantly, it also secures us financially so that we can make room to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome more horses and ponies in need, without the worry of where the money will come from.
We can tackle bigger, nationwide problems like education on horse behaviour and how horses learn, in order to help eradicate outdated and cruel training practices which can lead to horses suffering immeasurably.
We can also promote Equine ID – an issue which continues to blight all welfare charities, when irresponsible owners cannot be traced or identified.
There are many different reasons why you might choose to leave something to Here4Horses in your will, your reason is personal to you.
We understand this and will ensure that your wishes and confidentiality are respected.
A gift in memory
You might perhaps want to bestow a financial gift in memory of a beloved horse or pony, family member or dear friend. Or maybe you would like your estate to go to a worthy cause where your love and passion for horses and ponies will be recognised and can live on forever, thanks to your generosity.
We are a charity you can trust to use your money wisely for the good of its benefactors – the horses.
More people are choosing to remember charities ‘In Memoriam’. This could include a collection at a funeral on behalf of Here4Horses rather than having flowers, as a way of making a lasting difference.
We believe all horses and ponies deserve a secure home for life, where they can experience the special unity that can be found with a kind, knowledgeable human being. Your legacy gift will go a long way to helping us achieve our mission – securing a better life for horses and ponies. If you would like a discussion with a member of our team then please do not hesitate to contact us.
To commemorate the life of a family member or friend and celebrate their passion for horses, then a gift of any size to Here4Horses will allow us to continue our important work. We can send you an informative leaflet to illustrate our work to potential donors – please contact us or you can download a PDF version by clicking HERE
