    Sponsoring a horse or pony with us is a shared experience – where any single animal may have many sponsors. Along with helping your chosen horse or pony, your sponsorship helps all other horses and ponies in our care, from running our stable yard, buying feed and assisting with our veterinary fees.

    If you decide that sponsoring a horse is not for you, you are more than welcome to help in other ways. Please check out how you can do this here.

    Once you have specially selected your new Here4Horses friend, we will send you your welcome pack – the certificate and beautiful photograph will be there as a daily reminder of our sincere appreciation.

    We think all of your generous donations should go directly towards meeting our aims and objectives and for that reason, we will primarily update you on the horse and pony stable stories online.

    You can expect online updates via our e-newsletter, the ‘Pony Express’, alongside a special card at Christmas sent directly to you from your chosen pony, all aimed at keeping you informed of their journey and explaining how your contribution has made a difference.

    If your sponsored horse or pony is lucky enough to be given a second chance in a new home they still remain in our ownership and we always have ultimate responsibility for them.

    For this reason, sponsors are always required for every one of our horses and ponies no matter where they reside.

    Some of our residents may not prove suitable for re-homing and will remain at Farnley Farm until the end of their life.

    Long term and ‘Super Sponsors’ will receive special recognition from time to time.

    We want sponsoring a horse to be a simple process. Please take a look at Our Horses page to view our stable-yard of equine friends. Once you have fallen in love with one of our Here4Horses residents, simply click ‘Sponsor (Name)’.

    You’ll be taken to our fundraising site and asked to pledge £3 per month by direct debit. You can of course apply any greater amount you wish and we are always extremely grateful for whatever further donations you feel able to give. Once you have selected your chosen amount, you’ll need to complete the registration. You will then receive a welcome email and your sponsorship pack will arrive by post shortly afterwards.

    From time to time we have VIP open days for our valued sponsors, enabling them to visit our stables. You may be able to meet your sponsor horse or pony and bond over a cup of tea and a carrot. Keep an eye on the Events section of our website for dates of forthcoming events.

    Your welcome pack should arrive within 10 working days. However, please allow slightly longer when signing up over Bank Holidays.

    Monthly Direct Debits are only taken by our bank on the 1st and 16th of each month, so the timing of your purchase may influence the arrival date of your sponsorship pack.

    Yes, you certainly can and we feel it is the perfect gift for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries or indeed any special occasion… giving the gift of second chance sponsorship, makes a real difference and is a precious gift for a loved one to receive.

    In order to sponsor a pony, we kindly ask you to set up a Direct Debit (either monthly or annually). This is much easier for us to administer. If however, you would prefer to pay by cheque, bank transfer or standing order, please email enquiries@here4horses.org.uk if you require guidance.

    ‘Super Sponsors’ are those individuals who are in a position to sponsor at least 3 ponies at any one time.

    This will be identified on the ‘Sponsor’s Wall of Fame‘ with a magenta rosette next to you name.
