Life is good at throwing us curve balls – but we’re pretty sure that taking the helm for an equine welfare charity will not have been on Paula Kempin’s bucket list.
Paula (Poppy to her pals), has however, truly ‘grasped the nettle’ and adeptly steered our small but mighty team to remarkable success in a very short time.
Already fulfilling several key management roles behind the scenes, Paula kindly stepped up in late 2023, when we lost the wonderful icon that was Claire Robinson.
Every skill that Paula brings to the table is valuable to us and the fact that she lives on site is an added bonus too (although she would surely disagree on that one)! 🤪
The entire team are so grateful for Paula’s willingness to take responsibility – rising to every challenging situation we face with innate professionalism.
She is undoubtedly one of the key reasons our volunteer-run organisation has survived so far.
We therefore, very much look forward to the time that we thrive – and Paula can be justifiably proud of the significant contribution she makes, helping us secure a better life for horses and ponies everywhere.
She is a worthy winner indeed of ‘Volunteer of the Year’ 2024!
