On a blustery weekend last month, a remarkable £702.00 was raised from the sale of plants, with all proceeds very kindly donated to Here4Horses.

It was very much a family affair as local green-fingered gardener, Pete Suddes, had grown numerous plants from seed and his daughter, (Here4Horses Trustee Paula Kempin), then kindly invited us to host a sale of the plants, at The 68 Café in Toft Hill.

From Campanula to Foxglove, visitors were able to enjoy a takeaway coffee and then return home with wonderful plants to spruce up their garden. After all, staying in is the new going out!

We were so delighted with the success of the weekend and were then even more pleased, when Pete revealed plans to supply a further range of plants for another sale next spring.

Funds raised in this way, are essential to helping horses and ponies in need.  Caring for these beautiful animals during the winter months always has its challenges and we need to be prepared.

This money will go towards stabling costs, wormers to keep them parasite free and will also assist with on-going training to help secure a bright future for our residents.

Our vital work relies solely on our generous supporters and their donations.

If you would like to hold a fundraiser on our behalf, please do contact us HERE and we will assist in any way we can.

Finally we’d like to say a huge thank you, to our brave volunteers for remaining cheerful throughout a very windy two days.
