Time with horses can be far from straightforward. When sickness or injury occurs, the experience can be somewhat traumatic for both carer and horse.
Our young friend Kenny (pictured above with Stinky Pete), has been furthering his education for many months, with long-time Here4Horses supporter Tracey. Unfortunately, he has successfully found himself with a very serious injury to his hind leg which had sufficient impact to damage the front of his cannon bone – look away now if you’re a little bit squeamish!
Kenny’s recovery will take many, many weeks and will involve lots of careful treatment and bandaging. We therefore decided that the best course of action was to bring him back in to Here4Horses, in order to make this time easier to manage.
Bandages and dressings can add hugely to our costs in these situations, so if you can possibly spare even a few pounds, you can be sure that your donation really will count for Kenny!
