She is female for starters, when normally it is colts that we find abandoned. She is also black rather than coloured, which again is quite a rarity in these parts.
Hilda is a very sweet pony and not ‘mareish’ at all. Mareish is a horsey term to describe some mares who can be temperamental and prone to moodiness, often linked to the effect of hormones.
She is placid, keeps herself out of trouble and prefers a quiet life in the company of people.
Hilda is now fully mature and has taken to carriage driving like a duck to water.
