Nicola

I have wanted to be a Veterinary Surgeon since I was a child and as I grew older, I realised I wanted to specialise as an equine vet. Achieving this goal was a lifelong dream come true.

I launched my own veterinary practice in 2010 and the business subsequently grew rapidly. In time I became keen to explore new avenues which led to the decision to step aside.

I continue to practice as an equine vet and remain involved with all types of horses and ponies – however, the welfare cases always do touch me. To be able to help a horse or pony that is suffering and protect it from any further harm is a true privilege.

I have been involved in many welfare cases on behalf of the RSPCA and have acted as an expert witness in court on numerous occasions.

In my spare time I enjoy upcycling furniture and spending time in the countryside with my partner and our two dogs.

Animal welfare will always be my primary concern and I will do everything in my power and ability to help as many horses as possible, alongside the amazing Here4Horses team.
